Greek animation came in the for of their plays and painted vases/ sculptures when they painted or carved some thing it always had a good story behind it.
As you can see with this particular vase it depicts their different kinds of sports that were practiced during those days. The Greeks form of animation was very clever indeed below is a plan view of a vase depicting the story of a man named Sisyphus if you spin the vase around on the potters wheel you could see the story move like an early version of the flipbook.
